Sun going down behind the ocean

Sunset on the ocean

Mountains on the other corner of the beach shore.

Gecko!

Incredible colors from the sky reflected onto the shore.

Reflections

storm rolling in

Rain drops on the ocean water

It was rainy several days (evident by the rain on the lens here), but we were located directly on the shore of a private beach!

Final destination before heading back to my uncle's home for a family reunion

A boar at 'this place' (believe me it was random, I have no idea where I was at the time).

One of the other random animals at this place where he led us

Tucans were found (among other animals) at this place where this village-boy led us to.

Horseback riding one day. . . yeah this was probably one of the scarier parts of the trip. A local village-boy leading us on this slippery-muddy-steep trail.

Hummingbired (hard to catch these birds 'cause they fly SO fast, but they were every-where so all I had to do was snap and I was bound to get a pic. of one)

View from the drive to our next destination

We arrive through the massive-hike of this rainforest to find my sister (who had hiked without us very quickly, she wasn't very happy that day to say the least) .. laying on the ground here.. haha, this pic cracks me up. Nothing was wrong with her, she was just really pissed that day, and moreso that this "fabulous view" we were hiking for-ev-er to was clouded over.

Journey through the rainforest (again pic needs to be rotated 90)

Up-close shot

creature standing on its hind-legs

Entrance to the rainforest - no idea what this animal is, but, he was just roooaming around

Volcano next to the resort

View from the cabin (for some reason this pic didn't get posted).

At the resort everyone swims in the hotspings (but too hot to go under!)

The hot springs at the gorgeous resort we stayed at (also located on the side of another active/constantly erupting volcano -- apparently the lava never gets close enough to the resort though). Funny fact - the resort has no insurance because obviously no one will offer it since the disclaimer says it could be in danger from the volcano at any random time (and is expected to eventually be destroyed).

Waterfalls and a butterfly farm days after the cabin. Unfortunately this is only one of the many beautiful waterfall pictures that I could find (and too lazy to rotate, but easy to do - at least it's posted/saved).

One of the first destinations of the trip - my dad's uncle's cabin located on the side of an active but dormant volcano!

Recall of Costa Rica

I am a terrible slacker. These are going to be some pics from last year's trip to Costa Rica. It was an incredibly beautiful opportunity to visit Costa Rica, and I look forward to returning some day. I was reunited with several family members, and the different experiences in Costa Rica will never be forgotten - this blog will serve as one source to preserve the memories.
